Advanced search provides a set of search boxes that allows you to combine keywords found anywhere in the record or in specific record areas (titles, names, subjects, notes, identifiers, publication / production information, etc.).
Search boxes are tied together with boolean operators:
AND: retrieves only records containing all terms
OR: retrieves records containing any of the entered terms
NOT: excludes records containing the term associated with NOT
An asterisk or a question mark can be used as a truncation or wildcard as part of your search. For example, if you search for ‘ilustr*’, your results will include different variations of the word including ilustrador, ilustraciones, ilustrado, etc. If you search for ‘primiti?a’, your results will include primitiva and primitiua.
