"Lingayen, officially Municipality of Lingayen (Pangasinan: Baley na Lingayen; Filipino: Bayan ng Lingayen) is a first-class municipality in the province of Pangasinan on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. It is the capital municipality and the seat of government of the province of Pangasinan. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 98,740 people. Lingayen was a strategic point during World War II. It is also the birthplace of former President Fidel V. Ramos."
