"Melekeok es una localidad de Palaos, cabecera del estado homónimo. Está situada en la costa oriental de la isla Babeldaob. En octubre de 2006, Ngerulmud, situado a 2 km de la localidad de Melekeok, se convirtió en la sede del gobierno nacional , en sustitución de Koror, capital del país hasta ese entonces."

"Melekeok /mleke.ok/ is a town in the State of Melekeok (one of Palau's sixteen states). It is located on the east coast of Palau's largest island, Babeldaob. On October 2006, the settlement of Ngerulmud, located 2 km (1.2 mi) from the village of Melekeok, became the seat of Palau's government, replacing Koror.
