Históricamente la costa de Coromandel se refiere al tramo de costa desde Point Calimere (Kodikkarai), vecino al delta del río Kaveri, hasta la desembocadura del río Krishná."

The coastline runs between False Divi Point in the north to Kanyakumari in the south. Its definition can also include the northwestern coast of the island of Sri Lanka."
