Pleven

"Pleven/Plevna (en búlgaro ) es una ciudad situada en la parte septentrional de Bulgaria, a orillas del río Tucheniza. Cuenta con 138.887 habitantes y es la séptima ciudad más grande de Bulgaria, además de la tercera del norte del país tras Varna y Ruse. Esta ciudad es famosa por sus museos y sus parques naturales."

Located in the northern part of the country, it is the administrative centre of Pleven Province, as well as of the subordinate Pleven municipality. Internationally known for the Siege of Plevna of 1877, it is today a major economic centre of the Bulgarian Northwest and Central North and the third largest city of Northern Bulgaria after Varna and Rousse."
