"Almodóvar del Campo es un municipio español situado al sur de la provincia de Ciudad Real, en la comunidad autónoma de Castilla-La Mancha."
"Almodóvar del Campo is a town and municipality of Spain, in the province of Ciudad Real, some 14 km S.S.W. of Ciudad Real, on the northern side of the Sierra de Alcúdia. The etymological origin of Almodóvar is the Arabic: , al-mudawwar, "round, circular (place)". Almodóvar was a Moorish fortress in the Middle Ages. It owes its modern prosperity to the nearness of the valuable Puertollano coal-field. Its manufactures include lace and linen and it has a trade in livestock, oil and wine. South of the Sierra lies the Alcúdia Valley, used as pasture for immense flocks of sheep."
